Siem Reap is indeed a beautiful resort city located in northwestern Cambodia. It is known as the gateway to the ruins of Angkor, which was the seat of the Khmer kingdom from the 9th to the 15th centuries. Angkor complex of intricate stone buildings includes the famous Angkor Wat, which is the main temple and is even pictured on Cambodia's flag. Additionally, the Bayon Temple at Angkor Thom features giant and mysterious faces that are carved into its structure.

countryside, passing through the village of Chreav en route to Tonle Sap Lake.

champagne cocktail. Overnight stay in Siem Reap.
